As individuals you will agree we are all diverse, our skin concerns are also diverse, however in most cases clients do not have one concern but many concerns. Based on worldwide research by Dermatologists, as well as having 10 years’ experience as a Medical Aesthetic Therapist, women and men are most concerned about acne and oiliness, uneven skin tone and texture, pigmentation, scarring, telangiectasia and spider veins, ingrown hairs, loss of radiance and, of course, lines and wrinkles.

We are all very fortunate as there are many different treatments today, each technology has a specific concern that it targets. Today I want to take you through the treatments we offer with a brief description of each treatment and what they target in the skin.

Let’s look at some treatments:

Peels

Most peels are derived from natural sources – glycolic acid from sugar cane, lactic acid from sour milk and salicylic acid from willow, while enzymatic peels are derived from papaya and pumpkin, for instance. Depending on what we are treatment in the skin, determines what peel is best suited for you, For example, a Cosmelan peel was formulated specifically to treat Melasma (hormonal pigmentation), where as a lactic peel is more rejuvenating in a less aggressive manor, as this is used for dry skins with little to no downtime.

Peels involve the application of a chemical agent or fruit acid to create controlled exfoliation and stimulate regeneration of new skin.

Microneedling Microderm Abrasion

Microneedling

Skin needling, commonly known as Dermapen™, promotes scar less healing and natural collagen reproduction, by creating microscopic incisions, the skin goes into a healing phase and replenishing the cells that have been worked on. This treatment is like fractional laser treatments and laser resurfacing, but without the side effects and downtime.

Skin Needling is a procedure used to reduce and improve the visible appearance of skin conditions such as wrinkles, smoker’s lines, acne scars, surgical and burn scars as well as rejuvenate and tighten the skin while improving the texture.

Carboxy Therapy

Carboxytherapy (Carbon Dioxide Therapy) is a procedure that involves injecting Carbon dioxide (CO2) beneath the skin, the body interprets this as an oxygen deficit and responds by providing a surge of oxygen and nutrient rich blood to the treated area.

Carboxytherapy helps to reduce the appearance of stretch marks, dark under eye circles, eye bags and cellulite. It also improves lymph drainage, stimulates your collagen production, and helps to reduce resistant fatty pockets.

Skin Boosters™

Restylane® Skin boosters™ infuses a thin layer of micro-droplets of hyaluronic acid beneath the skin surface, where it draws water and provides long-term deep hydration. You will get a lasting refreshed and radiant look.

Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of your skin that keeps it hydrated and soft. With age, or due to a harsh environment, the hyaluronic acid content in your skin may decrease, and your skin may lose some of its volume, elasticity, and hydration.

PRP / Vampire Facial

This treatment uses your own platelets to trigger new collagen production, resulting in tighter, smoother, and younger-looking skin. The platelets are activated to initiate the release of growth factors that promote tissue repair or regeneration and promote healing.

A PRP/Vampire Facial is a natural non-surgical, minimally invasive option to help diminish the effects of aging as well as triggering the release of growth factors and forcing the skin into a regenerative state.  It can decrease scarring and improve quality of skin tone and texture by regenerating new cells.

Vampire Lift PRP

These treatments are amazing for cell rejuvenation, anti-aging, scar repair, texture improvement and overall stimulation, the beauty with these treatments is that when done correctly we can combine most treatments in one session, thus getting the desired results a lot quicker.
