At Atlantic Dermatology and Laser, we understand that children have specialized skin care needs.  The young, sensitive skin of a child is prone to a wide array of dermatologic concerns, ranging from common conditions such as eczema and cradle cap to complex genetic disorders.  The diagnosis of paediatric dermatological conditions can be challenging, and treatment must be tailored not only to the particular physical needs of children, but also to their special emotional concerns as well.

We understand that not only are childrens’ skin different to adult skin, but that for our younger patients, a visit to our rooms can be frightening and overwhelming. We offer a comprehensive, child-focused approach to skincare in a friendly and comfortable environment. From toys to keep your children happily occupied to allowing longer appointment times for our smaller patients to allow them time to show us their skin in their own time and even colourful “star” stickers and sweet rewards following their consultations, we’re committed to making your child’s experience with us as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
