This patient came to us one year post-pregnancy with dark marks, pigmentation, red broken capillaries, and scarring left over from old breakouts.
Being one year post-partum, she had very little time for multiple skin treatments. However, her scarring and uneven skin tone were really affecting her self-confidence. She wanted to wear less makeup and have clearer, glowing skin. With her limited time, we decided to perform two sessions of an effective combination laser treatment.
TREATMENT
Two sessions of a BBL and MicroLaserPeel® were performed.
The homecare skincare regimen recommended for her includes an exfoliating cleanser, a serum with peptides, a retinol night cream, and a pigment inhibitor night cream.

Q. HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECOVER?
This is a non-invasive and gentle procedure with virtually no downtime. In most cases, you can apply makeup, return to work and resume most of your activities immediately.
Q. WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER THE TREATMENT?
You may experience some redness following the treatment, which should resolve within a few hours. For certain pigmented lesions, you may notice a darkening of the treated area, followed by fading and flaking off at a later stage. Your treated skin will feel smoother, with less noticeable pores, and sunspots or uneven pigmentation will fade.
Results depend on your specific condition, the number of treatments, and the area treated. Your clinician will provide you with complete information about post-treatment care and expected results.
MicroLaserPeel®
The MicroLaserPeel® is a gentle, laser-assisted skin peel. During the procedure, the hand piece is positioned above the skin, where it is held in place as a computer-guided scanner moves the laser beam around the treatment area. The procedure typically lasts anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated.
A MicroLaserPeel® is a simple treatment that uses a laser to remove a thin layer of dead skin cells on the surface of the skin. By removing the top layer, some of the damaged cells that contribute to a tired, aged look are eliminated. As the skin heals, fresh cells grow and resurface the treated area. The result is healthier-looking skin, often with reduced wrinkles and improved colour evenness. Many people describe the outcome as a transformation from tired-looking skin to vibrant skin.

Q. HOW LONG WILL I TAKE TO RECOVER?
Depending on the depth of treatment, most patients skin looks great after 7 days. Majority of the skin peeling occurs between day 3-5.
Q. WILL IT BE UNCOMFORTABLE?
One of the primary advantages of MicroLaserPeel is that the treatment can be performed using a topical numbing cream to make sure the treatment is comfortable.
Q. WHEN SHOULD I EXPECT RESULTS?
Because only the outer layer of skin is treated, most patients notice a significant improvement in tone, texture, and colour once the skin heals, which typically takes approximately 8-10 days.
