Your face, neck and possibly décolleté are often the first thing that people notice about you, this also tends to be the main areas of your body that immediately gives away your age. As a client once told me, “your face is the key to your soul’ I realised that it is not just how you feel about your skin but who you are as a person to want to make that effort to always look and be your best.
Years of unprotected sun exposure, harsh cleansers and the general process of ageing, can do quite a number on your skin. Thankfully, there’s a skin treatment that can reduce the appearance of damage and subtract years from your complexion.
This innovative Sciton®’s JOULE™ BBL™ Laser is the world’s most powerful laser device on the market. It has a one-of-a-kind flash lamp technology, interchangeable Smart Filters for different wavelengths, Finesse Adapters, with a CoolComfort technology.
Its broad range of wavelengths allow us to safely and effectively treat multiple skin conditions and skin concerns with targeted treatments. The Sciton®’s JOULE™ BBL®HERO delivers energy uniformly, eliminating hot or cold spots for consistent treatments and high quality outcomes.
BBL®HERO also known as a Photo-facial is a corrective phototherapy treatment that uses Broadband Light (BBL®HERO) to target signs of aging, sun damage, and other skin conditions. This process will restore your skin to its natural beauty, making it clearer, smoother, and more vibrant.
Using the BBL®HERO, the broad range of wavelengths penetrate the skin at different layers and targets different conditions on the skin, this allows us to treat conditions such as;
- Acne
- Pigmented Lesions, such as freckles, age spots.
- Vascular Lesions, such as cherry Angioma, telangiectasia, and rosacea.
- Deeper Lesions / Darker Skin Types
- Hair Removal
- SkinTyte™ is available as a module using infrared light energy to deeply heat dermal collagen leading to a renewed collagen foundation for skin firming.
As we grow older our cell production is decreased by intrinsic and extrinsic factors, the light energy delivered by BBL®HERO will stimulate the skin’s cells and preserve your skins health.
Let’s simplify; if brown spots are the target, BBL®HERO penetrates the skin to reach the pigment. The particles of the pigment left behind will peel, fade or slough off within 7-14 days, depending on the area, the damage and other factors. If redness is the target, blood vessels in the superficial layers of the skin, coagulate while they absorb the laser energy which causes them to close. Over the course of several weeks, the body continues to absorb the destroyed vessel remnants.
As with most treatments a series of treatments are always required. We need to take into consideration that the damage was possibly caused many years prior, the skin was traumatised which may still need to recover in a safe and correct manor, the damage has possibly left other concerns that may take a while to appear, correct and repair.
What do you feel during BBL®HERO?
Patients often describe a warm popping sensation, or a light zap like a rubber band against the skin. You may experience some discomfort in more sensitive areas, however a topical anaesthetic is recommended.
Is there downtime associated with BBL®HERO treatment?
Immediately following the treatment, you can expect to see redness, it may feel like a slight sunburn in the treated area, this is more common when there is more sun damage to be repaired. Depending on the aggressiveness of your treatment, you may have swelling for a day or two. You will see the pigmentation in the area turn darker, this will slough off in 7-14 days, with vascular treatments you may have bruising.
This amazing technology of BroadBand Light (BBL®HERO) therapy provides excellent results as it targets the signs of aging and sun damage. This treatment makes the skin clearer, smoother, healthier, and younger appearing.
BroadBand Light (BBL®HERO) will turn back the clock by helping your skin look better over time.
