The name Skintyte™ defines the treatment moderately, but how does this phenomenal treatment truly work?

The Sciton® lasers Skintyte™ treatment delivers uniform, targeted and deep heating to effectively coagulate soft tissue by transmitting infrared light deep into the dermis. Infrared light causes soft tissue coagulation, which leads to remodelling of the collagen within the dermis. Over time, this remodelled collagen helps to fill in wrinkles and restore elasticity to sagging skin.

Many people question whether these treatments are safe or whether they may be painful, well fear no more as the technology we use is much safer and more comfortable than the heating approach of many other systems or older technology. The Skintyte™ light energy is delivered in a sequence of rapid, gentle pulses, with no need for a topical anaesthetic cream.

Our technology uses a 3-stage cooling. It cools the skin, before, during, and after each light pulse, so you feel little discomfort during the treatment. During the Skintyte™ treatment you may experience lingering warmth, tightness, or redness in the treated area, which normally fades within a few hours of treatment. Because so much of the skin is unaffected by the light pulses, the healing process is quick. With fast healing and no downtime you can receive a treatment and go back to work or to other activities, and makeup can be applied directly after your treatment.

A series of treatments at 3 – 4 week intervals will deliver the best result of smoother, tighter skin in the face, arms, abdomen, and other areas.

Patients who should consider Skintyte™ are looking for moderate, noticeable skin tightening without having to undergo surgery. Full results often take up to four months. Visible results may not be seen until after the second or third treatment. The full extent of improvement may take up to four months to see, as the current collagen is improved and new collagen is formed.
